Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals
service center, announced the promotion of Brace Moran to General
Manager of Integrity Stainless – Latrobe, effective April 3.
Moran started at Olympic Steel in 2011 as Sales Manager for the
Integrity Stainless in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. In that role, he focused
on business development and was responsible for increasing sales volume
and new customer acquisition.
Prior to joining Olympic Steel, Moran was employed for 11 years at Toma
Metals, Inc., a diversified metals processor and distributor based in
Johnstown, Pennsylvania. There he served in positions with increasing
responsibility including Purchasing Manager, Warehouse Manager, and
Sales Representative.
"With the rapid growth and increasing market share experienced by our
Specialty Metals segment, we have created a GM position to specifically
oversee our Latrobe facility," said Andy Markowitz, President –
Specialty Metals. "In his new role, Brace will be responsible for
continuing the profitable growth of our stainless-steel business. In
addition, he will oversee stainless steel flat bar products, which have
been recently re-deployed to Latrobe. We look forward to his future
contributions in this new role."
Jerry Gideon remains General Manager of the Integrity Stainless –
Streetsboro, Ohio, facility, a position he has held since 2014. Both
Gideon and Moran will report to Markowitz.
